Description: Hurricane Harvey made landfall on Aug 25th near Rockport, Texas as a Category 4 Hurricane with winds of 130 mph. The resulting tropical storm meandered in the region for several days, dropping a record 40-52 inches of rainfall in southeast Texas and southwest Louisiana. Line workers dealt with flooded roadways, downed trees and mosquito swarms to repair the heavily damaged electrical infrastructure. The L.E. Myers Co. crew members based in Pasadena, TX, a heavily flooded area southeast of Houston, worked storm restoration despite water damage to their own homes and regional office. Crews were focused on restoring the public’s power as quickly and safely as possible.
